New York City Extremely History: Andrea Dezsö at the Bridge Art Fair 03/05/2009

Locked away in the dusty cabinets of memory lie the secrets of Eastern Europe 20 years past, where politics were fiction and Eastern Europeans the characters in a play they themselves knew little about. Hungarian Artist Andrea Dezsö creates a miniature theater of history at Bridge New York commemorating the 20th anniversary of the fall of Communism: stop-motion animated robots and tiny aliens create a world of mystery for the viewer. Following a highly acclaimed debut in 2008, Bridge New York '09 returned to the historic Waterfront Building, located in Manhattan's Chelsea's Gallery District. Bridge New York is noted as one of the most influential presenters of international emerging contemporary art, and it is a top destination for collectors, curators and arts patrons.
