Ayodele Martin Aubert performs, teaches and composes for
the guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and djembe. He studied
at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, City
College of NY and Brooklyn College.
A veterean perfomer, Ayodele has shared the stage, toured and recorded
with a dizzying array of artists from jazz icons as Lionel
Hampton and Randy
Weston to legendary divas such as Ruth Brown, Eartha
Kitt, Leslie Uggams and Miriam
Makeba to orchestras such as the NY Philharmonic.
For nearly three decades he has played on Broadway in orchestras for hit
shows such as A Chorus Line, Me & My Girl, Black & Blue, The
Full Monty, Bring in da Noise/Bring in da Funk, and The
Color Purple.
He is a featured soloist with the Clef Club Orchestra at Carnegie
Hall and appeared on The Tonight Show with the NOISE/FUNK band.
Ayodele is a Bronx Council on the Arts 2004 BRIO Award winner for music
composition and an ASCAP award for composition. He has recorded 2 cds of
original music SUNSHIP and DISTANT TRAVELER.
