StoryCorps/Hungarian File
Foley Square & The HCC
09/26/2009
10 AM – 5 PM
With the motto “Listening is an act of Love,” StoryCorps launched one of the largest oral history projects of its kind: everyday people share life stories with family and friends in the StoryBooths. We invite the Tri-State area Hungarian community to share their stories! Each conversation is recorded on a free CD to take home and will be archived in the Library of Congress. Selected interviews are broadcast weekly on NPR’s Morning Edition. Recordings in Hungarian or English. Listen to excerpts of the StoryCorps/Hungarian File on our media page!
To sign up for an interview (including for the permanent Foley Square Booth in Downtown Manhattan) please contact Hungarian Cultural Center at info@extremelyhungary.org or 212 750-4450.
