The Final performance in a three-part series of fin-de-siècle cabarets with 21st-century spirit. This one proves to be the best one yet! Cheer for New York and Hungarian artists, writers, and musicians as they take on Hungary: from Harry Houdini to Zsa Zsa Gabor and space tourism. Daring trapeze, mustache animations, Communist-era Hungarian commercials—everything you crave in a cabaret! Hosted by New York playwright/performer Nick Jones (Jollyship the Whiz-Bang). An original Extremely Hungary production.

Mike AlboMike Albo is a Brooklyn-based writer and performer. His first novel was the acclaimed "Hornito", and his second is the cult classic, "The Underminer: The Best Friend Who Casually Destroys Your Life". Albo is also known as The Critical Shopper columnist for The New York Times. He's performed numerous solo shows including "Spray", "Please Everything Burst", and "My Price Point" as well as with the comedy trio Unitard. Mike will perform a short monologue about Hungary. |

Todd AlmondTodd Almond is a composer, lyricist and performer. His musicals include the award-winning PEOPLE LIKE US, and the upcoming shows WE HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE CASTLE and ON THE LEVEE. Almond regularly performs his own material in NYC's top venues and he recently released a CD of original songs entitled MEXICO CITY. Todd will perform “Gloomy Sunday” aka the Hungarian Suicide Song. |

A diverse artist, Falusi has performed in musicals, opera, film, operetta, and theater. She was also a member of the successful pop duo Pa-Dö-Dő, which has released 20 albums |

Nina FrenkelNina Frenkel is an illustrator and animator based in Brooklyn. She has been working as a professional illustrator/animator since the mid-90s. Nina's maternal Hungarian family (the Kners), Hungarian folk art, and Hungarian mustaches, have all been of great influence on her work. Nina will present an original animation about the Hungarian mustache, created with Stefany Anne Golberg. |

Nick JonesNick Jones [Cabaret MC and co-curator] is a playwright, director, puppet designer, and performer. Plays include: Jollyship the Whiz-Bang (Ars Nova), The Nosemaker's Apprentice (The Brick, with Rachel Shukert) The Colonists (The Brick), Little Building (Galapagos) and Straight Up Vampire: The History of Vampires in Colonial Pennsylvania as Performed to the Music of Paula Abdul (Philly Fringe Festival). He is currently a Juilliard playwriting fellow. Nick will MC and perform with famous Hungarian Harry Houdini. |

Brian MagicMagic Brian first discovered he should pursue variety entertainment as a career after failing miserably at a number of other occupations, among them: hot dog salesman, high-powered attorney, and Avon lady. Since then he has toured with The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, worked the sideshow stage of New York’s famous Coney Island and has even been featured on The Late Show with David Letterman. For Cabaret Magyar, Magic Brian will do the impossible—best Harry Houdini in a thrilling straightjacket escape. |

MetroFolkMetroFolk is an NYC-based band playing traditional Hungarian, Romanian, Gypsy, and Jewish folk music from the Carpathian Basin. Started by violinist Jake Shulman-Ment and viola player Aron Szekely, the band is dedicated to presenting the sophisticated beauty and energy of traditional dance music. |

Rachel ShukertRachel Shukert has written a variety of plays, too numerous to be listed here. She is—with Nick Jones and Peter Cook—a founding member of the Terrible Baby Theater Company, and with Stephen Brackett, the founder of the Bushwick Hotel. Her latest book, The Grand Tour, will be published by Harper Perennial in the summer of 2010. Rachel will present the original short play “The Three Gabor Sisters.” |

Suzanne has performed in many venues from Coney Island to the shores of the Red Sea in Egypt.
